8. Find a sheltered location outside to hang your feeder - tying it onto a tree branch or washing line would work well.

“We think this is the trough, and we’ll see acceleration throughout the year,” Levine said. “Part of the reason this market is stalling out is because we need a trade deal. I would expect a pop [if there’s a trade deal]. I don’t think that’s fully priced in.”

A variety of ready-to-use bird feeders are widely available. You could look for them in pet shops, large supermarkets and online. Squirrel-proof feeders are available, as are feeders which only allow the seed to be accessed by smaller garden birds, so you get fewer pigeons, which can be a pest in some areas.

The Rufenachts have about 200 water fountains on display at their longtime Gravenstein Highway South garden center. They specialize in American-made, concrete (cast stone) water fountains and garden statuary. Selections can be customized in a variety of finishes, from pewter to bronze patinas.

Barley Patch is the first of the four books Murnane has published from the far side of the country of fiction. It is framed as a self-interview, beginning with the questions ‘Must I write?’ and ‘Why had I written?’ He proposes answers to the second question that sound both a bit silly and plausible for the author of a novel like The Plains: ‘Perhaps I wrote in order to provide myself with the equivalent in the invisible world of Tasmania and New Zealand in the visible world.’ The distance between the narrator of Barley Patch, though it claims to be fiction, and the Murnane of the essays seems to be nil:

This entire year will be about the unveiling of the Mariners’ next generation, and it figures to be a slow rollout. Such key prospects as outfielders Jarred Kelenic and Julio Rodriguez and pitcher Logan Gilbert will do their work in the minors. Others, like Justus Sheffield, Justin Dunn, J.P. I stopped riding the scooters because I was spending every scooting second thinking about how this would be an especially embarrassing way for a tech reporter to die. Even imagining myself explaining to strangers that, heavy sigh, yes, these crutches are from a scooter accident was enough to convert me back to a boring old analog bike.

Long before I stopped writing, I had come to understand that I had never created any character or imagined any plot. My preferred way of summing up my deficiencies was to say simply that I had no imagination.

Disney could technically lay claim to the Florida coaster title in 2021. Roller Coaster Database classifies the twin-tracked Primeval Whirl at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as two separate coasters. That would therefore hand the title to Disney with 11 coasters and an asterix in the record books.
