Viewers could invest in new favorites without fear of abrupt cancellation!

The Olbiston apartment building is a historical piece of architecture built from sandstone of the Medina Group (about 45 miles outside of Buffalo). Every year there are numerous reports of birds sighted in New England that shouldn’t be here - accidental migrants, rare sightings - Mississippi kites nesting in New Hampshire, Kevin the sandhill crane that overwintered in Rollinsford, far from its normal Midwestern habitat, and flew away in the spring, or the poor great black hawk, native to Central and South America, that showed up in Portland, Maine this winter and eventually succumbed to the elements. This chukar is far from home. I wish it well.

One surprising result that the researchers found in this study was that when deciding how much to feed birds, people prioritized natural factors, such as cold weather, more than time and money.
