This Showcase Garden aims to raise awareness of the impact of childhood cancer on young people and their families. The garden design is inspired by one such child. A little girl who was always able to find a smile no matter what she was faced with. Her parents have been instrumental in the creation of this garden and the overall message is one of courage, strength, hope and above all else, love.
APL AVENUE Designit Landscapes, designed by Lucy Bravington – Travel inspiration: New York This garden takes heavy influence from a love of New York, in particular The High Line – a beautiful garden on a bridge over a disused railway line full of clean lines and contemporary styling. In a similar fashion, this garden design uses trees, perennials and ornamental grasses to create a sense of privacy, making it the perfect spot to relax with a Manhattan cocktail!
REBUILDING LIVES WITH LEGACIES – STROKE ASSOCIATION GARDEN, by Alex Daley ad Phil Pooley The garden represents the journey of stroke survivors. The path starts in a barren, rocky and unforgiving place, accentuated by the widely-spaced pavers and spiky fauna. The path gradually becomes softer, with an increasing abundance of life, before reaching its crescendo in an elevated, level, social area that looks back across their recovery journey.

Now, I’m sure you’re all shocked — shocked! — to learn that there is business going on at this streaming establishment. The shows that (we assume) are highly-rated keep being renewed, whether or not there’s creative justification, and the ones that (we assume) are lower-rated have a shorter leash. This is how companies function, and how TV has operated since the days of Milton Berle and Phil Silvers. But it’s not the utopian ideal that Netflix projected in its early days — or, perhaps, that we projected upon Netflix. To paraphrase Battlestar Galactica (another former Netflix library titles that’s moved elsewhere), all of this has happened before, but we didn’t expect it to happen again here.
The sun was just showing itself above the eastern hills Wednesday morning when I made several trips outside with bird feeders in hand. For the first time in several years we were being visited by a bear, so I was bringing in all of the feeders at dusk on the previous nights.
A ground-up 9,000-square-foot building in Pella, Italy by Lissoni adjoins one from the early 19th century, originally a local pensione. Lissoni’s three-level component houses nine guest rooms; two more suites occupy its smaller counterpart. Stacked local stone borders the hotel’s new 40-foot lap pool. Read more

As he made his way back to the tapas bar, Gerry ran into another vacationer at the resort and struck up a conversation. As the two men talked, Tanner, one of the so-called Tapas Seven, spotted a man walking quickly across the top of the road in front of her, according to the Guardian. She reportedly said he was carrying a sleeping girl in pink pajamas and heading to the other road of the resort complex away from the apartment block, but she didn’t think anything of it and returned to the table.
Rockport — Hildy Ellis, program manager for Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District, will present “Beyond the Birdfeeder: Creating Backyard Habitat” at the Gibbs Library, 40 Old Union Road, Washington, Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m. The program will highlight how to use natural and constructed features to provide food, shelter, water and nesting sites to attract songbirds and pollinators to home landscapes, all in time for the coming summer gardening season.
