Mark and Sandy Curtis of Sonoma considered scale when they added a water fountain to their modest-sized backyard. They wanted something natural-looking for their patio, where they enjoy alfresco dining and visiting with family and friends around a firepit.

They collected their children for lunch, spent several hours at the pool, and after the kids ate dinner at the Kids Club, Kate took them back to their room while Gerry spent an hour playing tennis.

Rozanski installed a custom trough-style water fountain that’s flush to the wall. Three copper spouts send water streaming into the 10-foot long, powder-coated steel fixture.

Workers now can more easily gain access to the fountains through a series of subterranean service tunnels, which are located beneath the water features and connect the two pump rooms.

The 12-story building, which is expected to be completed in late 2019, will be the first in the U.S.by Italian master architect and designer Antonio Citterio (working in collaboration with KKAID), who is known for designing the BVLGARI Hotels in Dubai, London, Milan and Bali as well as the Mandarin Oriental in Milan.
